Pilchuck welcomes artists, fabricators, and curators who specialize in cast glass and pâte de verre, to transform our campus into the epicenter of glass casting knowledge. The conference will consist of three days packed full of demonstrations, lectures, collaborations, and panels exploring the possibilities, challenges, and innovations in casting glass. We’ll cover the gamut including casting in a kiln, packing molds for pâte de verre, hot casting, and even bombarding cast glass with plasma.
Pilchuck has long served as a trading post of technical knowledge and creative inspiration. The 2025 Casting Conference is the second in series of focused events that started in 2023 with the Neon Symposium. We welcome artists and enthusiasts of all levels to join us in this unique exchange of ideas, knowledge, and inspiration.
