The Artist in Residence Program is one of the pillars of the Pilchuck Glass School educational experience. Paired with expert glass fabricators and artist assistants, Pilchuck Artists in Residence experiment with bringing glass into their practice adding it to their vocabulary of work.
The Emerging Artist in Residence (EAiR) program supports knowledgeable artists who are making a transition in their professional lives. Whether moving from academia to a professional studio practice, taking up a new medium, or beginning a new body of work, artists find this independent residency ideal for contemplation, research, and experimentation. The program provides artists with space and the time to develop an idea, project, or new body of work in glass.
The Better Together Residency is dedicated to supporting BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) artists. This hot-shop focused residency is intended to provide up and coming artists with an opportunity to expand their body of work or explore new creative directions. The cohort will consist of artists, selected through a juried application, and paid assistants from the Hilltop Artists Program.
The S12 Partner Residency is an opportunity to expand your work in a world-class studio in an inspiring setting in Bergen, Norway. Eligibility for this residency is restricted to artists not currently enrolled in a degree program.
