Experience the wonder of natural dyeing in this one-day workshop. We will use two dyes to experience and experiment with natural color extracted from plants. We will also use leaves and flowers to create a nature inspired pattern on fabric. At the end of the workshop, you will leave with two naturally dyed samples on cotton, and one naturally dyed cotton bandana.

No previous experience is necessary. This workshop will includes lunch in our historic dining lodge.‍

About the instructor:

Crescent Calimpong is an artist, crafter, and environmentalist living in the Pacific Northwest. She hangs out in the corners of our forests and museums where art and the environment intersect. Crescent wholeheartedly believes that we protect what we know. She strives to foster ways of learning and better understanding the environment around us. She works with others to tend, love and know the natural world through art, restoration, and community.
